One of the strengths of home education is teaching our kids beyond a list of facts and dates. Yes, that is important, but we also have the wonderful responsibility of teaching and shaping their character.
I love finding a curriculum that is well laid out, easy to use, and teaches life skills in a fun and engaging way. Generous Students Homeschool Curriculum Kit, gives you the tools you need to home educate with joy and purpose.
Home Education with Purpose
The curriculum starts with the premise that generosity goes beyond money. The topics cover generous thoughts, generous words, generous time, and more! We want to raise our kids to be good humans Generous Students Homeschool Curriculum Kit is the curriculum you need.
This curriculum kit was created by a group of homeschool mom who want to support home education with joy and purpose. I really like curriculum that was created by other homeschoolers because they just get it. And it shows in the curriculum.
Teaching Life Skills for the Whole Family
One of the strengths of homeschooling is we get to teach math and literature and beyond the books. We have the tremendous opportunity to build character for the whole family, ages 5–18. The curriculum empowers families to live generously with faith-based, family-centered content.
Generous Students Homeschool Curriculum Kit approaches the ideas of generosity, kindness, and compassion with a family-based approach. It is for family to learn and practice together.
There is content for families of every age and stage. The curriculum includes instructor guide, student journal, and hero stories. Plus you get access to the Instructor Portal. Here you will find videos and audio files for the lessons, additional activities, and parent resources.
It is everything you need for the entire family.
Homeschooling that Inspires: Hero Stories
One of the greatest tools we have to teach out kids is through stories. Actually, stories work at any age. We are all inclined to engage with stories, remember stories, and retell stories.
Generous Students Homeschool Curriculum Kit is a 26-week curriculum. Each week includes a hero story of generosity. Heroes like Amy Carmichael, King David, James Earl Jones, and more! These every day examples will encourage the entire family to live generously. It is not always easy, but it is always best.
As an added bonus, the stories are also available in audio form through the instructor portal. Mom, we are busy. You are allowed to homeschool or work in the car. I’ve done it. This is a great way to continue to teach your kids on the go. Or if you just need a break. Give your kids meaningful content that you don’t need to think about.
Easy to Use and Engaging for Your Kids
The best part about Generous Students Homeschool Curriculum Kit is that it is really easy to use. Yes, for a busy homeschool mom of a large family this is always number one on my list. Lessons take approximately 10 minutes each day. The instructor’s guide offers the right balance between using it as a script or taking each lesson as a suggestion and creating your own.
The curriculum covers one topic per week, and it builds on the previous topic. For example, week 1 covers What is Generosity, week 2 The 7 Ways of Living Generously, and week 3 Generous Thoughts Part 1.
Each week includes discussion questions for the day (usually 3 so very easy to manage), you could do the discussion questions in the car too. There are suggested activities to reinforce the lesson, student journal activities, a suggested book list, and more!
Most of the lessons are a half-page to two pages in length. It is very easy to incorporate into your lesson plan for the day. The lessons can be for a 4-day or 5-day week. Or you can use it as a family devotion around the dinner table. This is one of our favorite ways to teach our kids the important character building lessons.
