When to Start Your First Day of Homeschool

I’ve been in the homeschooling world for a very long time. I finally feel like this year I figured it out. But this is how I feel at this time of year. After years of trying to figure out curriculum and when to start your first day of homeschool, I’ve nailed it. Then March rolls around and snatches my victory from me.

But I do feel like the way I set up the first couple of weeks of school this year, is the best it has ever been. So I wanted to let you in on all my secrets. Especially, your first day of homeschool.

Updates from the Summer: Homeschool Resources that I am Super-Duper Excited About

Artist unit study: I’ve been teaching this class for about 5 years, and I finally packaged it together. I loved this class, and I wanted to share it with you. You’re getting lesson plan suggestions, art project ideas, schedule, and more. This has been kids tested in the classroom.

If you are looking to add art to your homeschool or teach a co-op class, then check out the artist unit study. Add art to your homeschool without being an artist.

Reading Journals! I am so excited about these. There are journals for elementary students, teens, and for you! Easily keep track of the books read throughout the year. It is an easy way to help your kids to start thinking about what they are reading beyond just the story. These are low-pressure books to give kids an opportunity to write about what they read and to start diving deeper into books. Add reading notebooks to your homeschool this year!

We can always use different ideas for supplementing our homeschool curriculum. These are great resources.
