Hey friends, another week of my break. I hope you are enjoying this time with your family! During this busy time of the year, most people start planning their resolutions and goals for the new year. Unless, of course, you took my advice about planning goals at a different time. A Fun Way to Read Historical Fiction
I love reading historical fiction, but then I like to read what really happened. I appreciate authors who respect the actual events, and then sigh when I find out the hero of the story wasn’t a hero in real life. If you are asking what books to read for fun and improvement, then I highly recommend trying to read an historical fiction account followed by the non-fiction account. Here are a few books to get you started.
Victoria by Daisy Goodwin
Victoria: The Queen by Julia Baird
I was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon
The Resurrection of the Romanovs by Penny Wilson & Greg King
The Exodus by Leon Uris
O, Jerusalem by Larry Collins & Dominique Lapierre

How to Pick the Best Business Book
This post was written to help busy moms wade through all the “must read” books. Many times these over-hyped books aren’t helpful for what we need. Finding the time to read between juggling clients, juggling schoolwork, and everything else is not an easy task. It requires intentional planning and good recommendations on what to read.
The purpose of this post it to give you 3 tips to help pick the best books to read, so you aren’t wasting your time.
My Top 8 Best Business Books
This is the good recommendations list. These are some of my favorite business books. But I am always open to hearing good recommendations too, so let me know some of your favorites. I thought they were so good, I listened to the audio book from the library, and then I bought the physical book for most of them. (I’m a visual learner, so if it was good I bought the book for future reference).
If you need help deciding what books to read, this list is a great place to start.

Now that you have tips to pick books, you know what books to read, how are you going to get through them all ?! Yes, it is important that you continue to educate yourself. For homeschooling your kids and running a business. Reading allows you to keep learning outside of the accepted system of formal education. It also lets you explore ideas and fields that you may not have considered.
When you educate yourself in a variety of fields, you bring that knowledge and experience into your business and you really become an unstoppable force. Knowledge truly is power.
