Mom, no matter how hard you try, you are always busy. I am not saying this to wear it like a badge of honor. I don’t think being busy should be the social proof on your mom skills. This is merely a statement of fact, you are in a season where you are always busy. Creating a morning routine, where you have a few hours that you aren’t being asked deep questions like does Hulk wear underwear. Or constantly telling kids to do schoolwork or don’t throw away the perfectly good pencils because you don’t want to clean it up. Or no you can’t eat my food…but you give the baby a bite anyway because she’s cute. Creating a morning schedule will help you be a good momtrepeneur and help you keep your sanity, which is what this blog is all about.

Create a Morning Routine for You
There are so many mom books that will tell you exactly how to create a morning routine, so you can get more done. The problem is these other moms don’t know you. They don’t know your life and what works for you.
My routine changes as frequently as the seasons because life changes. Some years I’ve had nursing babies that dictated the routine. And now I have teenagers that need to be driven to work. Life is constantly changing and you need to create a morning routine that will help you keep your sanity but will still be flexible to your life.
My Mom Routine
Watch the video below to get a glimpse into my morning routine right now. This is what I am doing now that helps me to get some quiet in the morning and helps me keep my sanity. It includes riding the exercise bike, or Pilates, and I keep track of everything on my Apple Watch.
I am a huge fan of creating habits. This is the best book I’ve read on the topic, so far.
I also unbox my planner for 2022. My favorite planner is by Plum Paper because I can customize it. The Elizabeth Gilbert quote was from Big Magic.
