How did Wife Teacher Mommy Start
Kelsey is a wife and mom to 3 kids. She started Wife Teacher Mommy almost 9 years ago. After she finished her teaching degree she started teaching. Then she had her first baby. She knew that she didn’t want to work full-time, so decided substitute teaching would be a great fit for her.
Kelsey always knew that it was a big pain for teachers to put together substitute plans. But now that she was on the other side and receiving some of those plans, it sparked an idea.
To help her with substitute teaching and maybe other teachers. She started a teachers pay teachers store, offering sub plans that she put together.
Pivoting Wife Teacher Mommy to Support Homeschool Parents
When Kelsey’s oldest hit kindergarten it was time to decide whether she would homeschool or send him to school. Even as a licensed teacher, there was still trepidation in telling everyone she was homeschooling. All the age old arguments came up, like what about socialization. But she jumped into the world of homeschooling.
As she was asking how wife teacher mommy could also support and help homeschool families covid hit. Suddenly, there wasn’t a need for substitute lesson plans.
